Before leaving the island, make sure to visit Sanya.  It has been referred to as the “Oriental Hawaii”, and is one of the islands most popular attractions.  Sanya is a port city that is surrounded by beautiful beaches on the south side of Hainan.  It is a very lively city, especially along the docks, where there is an abundance of fish nets and sea captains preparing their vessels for the next adventure.  Many people find hotel accommodations along the Sanya peninsula, which is also called Yalong Bay.  It is a stretch of beach that is measured at 7 kilometers and dotted with luxurious hotels.
