Attractions on China tours
A holiday in China is something that so many people dream of. It is not just another country; it is a mixture of everything that any tourist can think of- history, culture, scenic beauty, modern shopping sprees and so on. - Great Wall: It is present from Liaoning to Jiauguan present in the Gobi Desert. It required ten years of hard work and thousand of laborers to build the Great Wall. Some records say that the bones of workers, who died working there, were used as a part of the building material of this wall. Till 2003, people believed that the Great Wall of China can be seen from the moon with a naked eye.
- Yungang Caves: There are approximately 50,000 statues of Buddhists in these caves along with a number of other motifs, phoenix and dragons etc. A lot of shortened pyramids are visible from near the caves and these pyramids were earlier used as watch towers by the people there. The magnificent creativity and workmanship in these caves shows that the people who did it were from various other countries also.
- Summer Palace: It is located in Beijing and is a must see for all those coming for China tours. It is deeply accentuated with very beautiful gardens and hills. The name of the main building of the Palace is Hall of Benevolence and Longevity. There are paintings spread all over the corridors and all of them depict some part of the Chinese culture and history.
- Army of Terracotta Warriors: It is one of the most sought after historical sites in China. It is almost 2000 years old and was discovered on 1974 by some workers. There are 6000 figures made of terracotta and they include warriors and horses and each of the warriors is holding some weapon and has been made to wear proper attire too.
- Forbidden City: It has been a residence for 2 big emperors from two different dynasties, including Ming and Qing. The main buildings of the palace are present between the Gate of Heavenly Peace on the south and the Divine Military Genius Gate on the north.
- Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve: It is a collection of nine villages present in the valley and the entire scene becomes all the more beautiful with snow covered mountains, pandas and monkeys.
- Grand Buddha China tours: This is the largest statue of Buddha in the world and it is 71 meters in height, 7m long in ears etc. It was started by a Buddhist monk in 713AD and was completed 90 years after he had died. It is a great sight for all those who are planning to go for China tours.
